Tapping therapy also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is a non-invasive but effective way to change lifetime behavior patterns. It is often used with people suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, stuttering, PTSD, weight loss, back pain, procrastination, grief, anger, ocd and depression and also used as a way to gain clarity on particular issues in life.
Tapping therapy is suitable for everyone regardless of age. It is an extremely effective way to help children deal with childhood issues such as anxiety. In my own case I used it as an adult to take control over my stutter. I have had a stutter for most of my life that was created by childhood trauma.
As an adult and Ihad been introduced to tapping therapy and I finally found a way to minimise my stutter. Whilst some days it is still evident it no longer rules my life as it once did. As a child I would be ridiculed for having a stutter by the very people who had inflicted the trauma that caused it. It was a never ending cycle and there was nothing being done to help me fix it.
When I first came across tapping therapy and realised I could utilise it to gain relief from my stutter, it brought me immense freedom and relief. For the first time in my life I was in control of how badly I stuttered or if at all. Whilst it still does appear if I am anxious about a situation, utilising tapping therapy I now have the tools on hand at all times to calm myself and take control to remove the stutter from the equation.
Whether you suffer from an ailment or not, tapping therapy is a fantastic technique to learn and use for everyday life. It’s like always having a first aid kit for your feelings and thoughts, on hand, whenever you need it. It doesn’t get much better than knowing you can take the control back when you are faced with a difficult situation.
